- Page 11: Charging the battery involves plugging the small end of the USB cable into the micro-USB connector on the right earcup and the other end into a powered USB wall charger or computer. Allow up to three hours for a full charge, which provides up to 15 hours of headphone use. A 15-minute partial charge will provide 2 hours of use. The battery indicator on the right earcup glows amber while charging and green when fully charged. The indicator blinks red when the battery needs charging.
- Page 12: Selecting a language for voice prompts is essential for user guidance during pairing and connecting processes. The headphones initially provide voice prompts in English upon first use. Users can select a different language by following specific button presses to navigate through language options. Voice prompts can be turned off or on by pressing and holding designated buttons simultaneously.
- Page 13: Pairing a mobile device involves sliding the Power/Bluetooth button up to the symbol and holding it until you hear, “Ready to pair” or see the Bluetooth indicator blinking blue. Ensure the Bluetooth feature is on your mobile device, typically found in the Settings menu. Select Bose AE2 SoundLink from the device list to connect. You will hear, “Connected to <device name>” or see the Bluetooth indicator glow solid white. Refer to your mobile device owner’s guide for more information on pairing and connecting with other devices.
- Page 14: Pairing with NFC allows for easy connection between your device and headphones. Ensure the headphones are powered on before pairing. Tap the NFC touchpoint on your mobile device to the center of the right earcup. Make sure your mobile device is unlocked and Bluetooth and NFC features are enabled. You will hear a confirmation or see a solid white Bluetooth indicator when connected.
- Page 15: Playing music can be controlled through headphone or device controls after connecting a mobile device. The headphones can remember up to eight paired devices and connect to two devices simultaneously. To switch between connected devices, pause audio on the first device and play audio on the second.
- Page 16: Disconnecting a Bluetooth® device involves turning off the Bluetooth® feature on your device and using NFC if supported. Headphones will automatically reconnect to the two most recently connected devices when powered on. To play music from a paired device not currently connected, slide to the symbol to hear connected devices and connect to the next one within two seconds. Voice prompts must be on to use the device scrolling feature. To clear the headphone memory of all devices, hold the symbol for ten seconds until you hear \"Bluetooth device list cleared.\"

Battery and Bluetooth indicators provide charge status and connection information. Voice prompts announce the headphone battery charge level upon powering on. Apple devices display the headphone battery charge level on the screen.

Poor sound quality • Move the mobile device closer to the headphones, away from interference. • Try pairing another mobile device.
- Page 20: No audio from a device connected by audio cable: Ensure the connected device is on and playing, and the 3.5 mm plug is fully inserted. Check that the device is in the off position and the volume is turned up on both the headphones and the mobile device. For poor sound quality, ensure the 3.5 mm plug is fully inserted and try connecting another device. Battery care: Turn off the headphones when not in use and ensure the battery is fully charged before long-term storage. Charge the headphones immediately if the battery indicator blinks red while in use.
- Page 21: The earcups rotate for easy, convenient storage. Place the headphones flat into the case with the soft divider between the two earcups. The headphones do not require scheduled cleaning. Should cleaning be necessary, simply wipe the outside surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Replacement parts and accessories can be ordered through Bose Customer Service.
